It’s hard for me to pick favorites off this album… I love all of the songs for different reasons. I think musically, this one sounds quite beautiful. The whole album is filled with longing and questioning one’s mental health and beliefs, all topics that hit fairly close to home for me. The loneliness on Breaking Down is both unbearable and quite real, something I can relate to probably the most out of any of the songs. These lyrics perhaps perfectly describe the constant feeling that no matter what happens in my life, good or bad, the loneliness that is in my core is something I will never escape:

All alone
Even when I was a child
I’ve always known
There was something to be frightened of

I guess it just feels good to know (and I suppose this is quite selfish) that someone who is so perfect in my eyes, suffers from the same crushing loneliness that I do.
